Measuring

When ordering glass, always double check your sizes. Allow enough tolerance in the frame for ‘going in’.

Always measure the ‘tight’ rebate size and reduce the measurement for ‘going in’.


Please use the following guidelines to help you determine final glass size:

Pictures Frames - Less than 2mm thick overall

Single Glazing - Less than 3 - 4mm thick overall

Sealed Units - Less than 5 - 6mm thick overall

Sealed Units In Modern PVCu Windows - Less than 7- 8mm thick


- When replacing sealed units it is important to measure the entire unit (glass & air space).

- In modern replacement windows it is safer to temporarily remove the unit for an accurate size.
